So, who’s Benson?

Benson’s a brand consultant by day and an avid maker by night (or whenever possible). While the majority of his work consists of digital production, he finds tremendous joy in customizing and making tangible things. He’s currently knee-deep in the world of digital watch modifications.

How did this all started?

Benson discovered watch modding in 2018 and started with mechanical watches. It wasn’t until early 2020 that he learned about digital watch modifications, which opened up a whole new world of possibilities.

Unlike mechanical watches, which tend to champion polished and classy designs (in no way is this a bad thing), the digital watches embrace animated and dramatic aesthetics with open arms. Custom imprints? Sure. Weathering and extra hardware installation? Why not. This medium allows Benson to blend his interests in military, technical, retro-futuristic, and minimalist designs into something wearable.
