Inspirations
The SR71 Blackbird by Lockheed is an engineering marvel. It holds the records of one of the fastest air-breathing jets in the world and I absolutely love its sleek form and beautiful stealth aesthetic. After looking through half of a dozen base watches, I thought the best candidate for this project would be the Casio W800.
I’ve repainted the case and filled in the debossed lettering. I have performed the negative display modification (vs using a pre-made black display) because I wanted to get rid of the original graphics on the LCD. And added design details such as the custom strap and metal screws.
