Inspirations
Unlike the past projects such as BlackBird and Nuclear Royale, the modification for this piece is relatively minimal. The time was mostly spent on finding the appropriate parts for the juxtaposition—a blend of the digital timepiece with the sophisticated Santos de Cartier homage watch case.
The clean dial of the all black DW5600BB strikes a good balance to complement the intricate details of the case. I’ve then used the hydro mod technique to bring more contrast to the dial, and weathered the case to better suit the retro-futuristic aesthetic.
